Have you ever seen a documentary in one of the poorest countries on the planet where the people barely have enough to survive and yet laugh and smile more than the average person walking down a city street?

It’s so easy to start thinking we need this or that to happen so we can be happy, when in truth we can choose to be happy right now with what we have.

Often we get so caught up pursuing what we think will make us happy we actually give up our happiness in the process. We human beings sure are strange!

Intention For The Week

Become present to your desire for happiness that lies beneath all other desires in your life.

Simple Empowerment Steps

  1. Anytime you find yourself upset by what is or isn’t happening, ask yourself, “Do I want to be happy?”
  2. Asking this question is a simple way to realign yourself with what you truly want, and can stop you from making outside people and circumstances more important than your happiness.

  3. A few times a day just stop for 30 seconds to appreciate what is around you.
  4. Maybe it’s the beautiful blue sky and sunshine. Maybe it’s the wonderful lunch you’re enjoying. Maybe it’s the drink you just knocked over that’s given you something to laugh at!

  5. Notice if you ever judge or punish yourself forĀ not being happy.
  6. Love and accept yourself right now however you are, whatever you’re feeling. The path to happiness isn’t through force or judgement, it’s through surrender.

    Remember, you are Perfect!
